Marriott finally has a presence in Bermuda with the opening of the S. Regis Bermuda Resort.

The category 8 hotel will set you back some 85K points per night or 68K points per night on a 5 night stay in a deluxe ocean view balcony room.

 

Currently all dates are pricing at the standard 85K level, making it a bargain compared to cash rates. 340K points for a 5 night stay can save you some $5,333 or a value of 1.57 cents per point. I typically value Marriott points at about 0.65 cents per point.

 

Best of all there are no resort fees!

Unlike the Caribbean, Bermuda’s tourist season runs from the spring through the fall instead of the winter due to its northerly location.

From NYC it’s just a 2 hour nonstop flight to Bermuda. Using 9K BA Avios on American is usually a good option, but American isn’t flying the route this summer. You can fly Delta or JetBlue from JFK or United from Newark.
