Airline miles are perhaps the best deal you can get for signing up for a credit card, just look at a ticket to Australia-they sell for about $1500 or so, yet with as little as 45,000 miles you have a free ticket there-putting a $700 value on a 20,000 mile bonus-not too shabby-and a heck of a lot better than a free t-shirt!
1. Delta-Amex:
Pros:
17,500 miles at signup. (20000 miles if you request a 2nd card.) No fee for 12 months.
Cons:
Bonus can only be earned once.(In other words, you can’t cancel the card and sign up again to get another 17,500 mile signup bonus)

Dan , what do you mean by ” bonus can be earned etc. ” ? what bonus and how do you get it ?

Dan

What i mean is that each card comes with a singup bonus of 15,000-20,000 miles.
If the bonus can only be earned once, like on the delta amex, that means you cant cancel the card and singup again for another bonus.
If the bonus can be earned again, like on the citi amercan airlines card, you can keep on signing up, getting the bonuses, and cencelling the card, etc.(I’ve done this 7 times now on the AA card!)
