@Dancer18: I have it. It’s good for “media consumption” aka reading books and magazines, streaming video (albeit not the highest quality). One thing it is NOT suitable for is web browsing, as it is horrendously slow at that, regardless of whether Amazon says their browser compresses data to speed up load times. Hope this helps
I have one and agree with pcgeek — I got it to read books and stream (or save) Prime movies when traveling. 8GB fills up fast (I have a LOT of eBooks). You do not have the option to save Kindle eBooks to the SD card, ONLY internal memory. I ran out of memory in weeks and had to delete a bunch of stuff. It is so full that even loading a book has become pretty slow (like, minutes). But once it is loaded, it is fine. Browser is slow for web browsing. For the price, video quality is not bad. If you want it, I’d recommend spending the extra $20 and getting 16GB, which wasn’t available when I got mine.
