now i just need someone to go with

So anyone who followed the Hyatt deal back in October is in prime position to use those nights at any of three Hyatt locations in Hawaii!

Nate

Dan, as you are a connoisseur of the islands. Would you recommend going out there for a short weekend? I would arrive Thursday night, then fly over to Kauai and leave Kauai Monday evening, sleep over in Honolulu and fly back Tuesday!

Or would that be a steep waste of miles and 12 hour flights, money etc???!!!

As well as, I was wondering whether or not you would like to sell some Hyatt next best thing nights at a decent rate. As an avid Dans deals supporter and reader, my whole trip would be dependent on staying at the grand Hyatt.

Thank you!

Dan isn’t a big fan of Oahu. (I have had several conversations with him about the islands) But I am here now (because of a posting back in June for a rt air fare of 256.40) We are staying in a rental house right on the beach in Kailua (VRBO.com). The beach is fabulous and sans tourists. While not as gardeny and lush as Kuaui or Maui it is still very nice and “Oahu Revealed” can guide you to the best spots and what to do and see.

@Nate:
You can definitely pull that off, but why the 1 night in Honolulu? You still have a few more nights to try to grab some Hyatt nights or you can email me.

@ac:
Nice grab on the $250 NYC-HNL airfare…I remember that one!
The Revealed series of books are just awesome.
Are you kayaking to any of the small offshore islands from Kailua? Jetskiing the North shore of Oahu in the winter can be pretty awesome as well.

ac

We did the kayaking, lots of fun. North shore was a little rough for us to jet ski, although the surfers loved it. We did hike to the hidden beach per “Revealed’s” recommendation.
