What is the difference between the one for $189 and the one for $139?

Thank you Dan.
Been meaning to install a remote starter for a while now. This is a great deal!

Is there a smart phone app included in this product so i can remotely start my car with an app. I have a Honda Accord 2014.How do i know if my car has remote Start system option?

Brenda

It says under package details: “Optional StartSmart Module (not included): allows you to start, control or locate your vehicle from virtually anywhere, using your enabled mobile phone. Supports SmartStart module models VSM200, VSM250 (with GPS) and VSM50BT (with Bluetooth)”
What does that mean? DO i have to purchase seperate smartstart app? and is there a yearly subscription to this?

Just called Best Buy. My Subaru Forester needs two bypasses (or something). Total price… $500. I think I will continue turning it on with the key.

JOE

Just bought it. Go to http://viper.com/Car/Build/ to see if your car needs bypasses. Since it comes with a security installation, I bought a nearfield motion sensor on amazon for $25. Best buy sells it for $60. (http://www.amazon.com/Directed-Install-essentials-Motion-Sensor/dp/B0009VFOME/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1422644660&sr=1-1&keywords=invisibeam%C2%AE+field+disturbance+sensor)

JOE

Additionally, Bestbuy has a best price guarantee so bring in your receipt when you go to get it installed and show them that it is $30 cheaper on Amazon and they should reimburse you the difference. Enjoy!

yups you are

@120 on amazon-I’m sure u can get someone: your missing quite much!!! watch the geek squad guy play with your wires so you dont need to have had your car hotwired permanantley!!!

I bought this one the last time this sale was posted. It took them a couple tries to install correctly.
The first time set off my car alarm.
There is only one button on it. It only turns on. Not off also. And you have to ask them to make it so it is a double click on otherwise it is a single click and can start on its own too often.
Hope this helps people.
I wish I had a different one in the end

Dave

The car I’m leasing could really use this. My car has keyless entry and push-button start, but remote-start. Will it be a problem to install this?
Also, does anyone know if this will affect my lease? I’m sure the dealer would rather have a car un-tampered with.

Honest Abe

meh…this is an ongoing sale..Just checked and it is still going on their site..

P.S. Someone from another site who claims to be an expert installer of such devices wrote to stay clear of this…
This is what he Wrote:

I’d recommend NOT going with this starter – as a professional installer.

The range is MUCH shorter than advertised due to pretty quick wear on the batteries, and for the price, you should really have a 2 way…

A ton of us purchased the 2 way 1 mile all-function starter for $159 a few months back, most of us got the deal we paid for LOL

Thanks for the heads up though – BB usually puts the 1 way up before they blast a 1 mile then 2 mile 2 way!!!
