@Dan: random question: I gat an email from AMEX that I can increase my credit limit by $1000. If I accept the offer will the do a pull that will affect my credit score?

Joey

Dan, is this some kind of a great deal or should I wait for black Friday? Are there usually better deals then?

Yanki

@Joey: This is a great deal, with the exception of screen resolution. Make it sharper and you have a steal.

Joey

Yanki, how do you make it sharper?

yossi

is this a good company for laptops?

Levi

If I want view hd video will it work

ah

Dan, could you maybe rate each laptop deal on a scale of 1-10 10 being a really amazing deal. This would help those of us who don’t know much about computers and their worth. Thanks!

Levi

The price after the coupon is 629 not 579. Is it still worth it or will there be better deals on Black Friday?

Sean

I’d like to second ah’s suggestion. I’m also hunting a laptop and appreciate all the deals you put up Dan but I’m a bit too much of a deals novice to know if this is a screaming deal that must be jumped on or if it will be easily beaten in 3 weeks during BF.

@Sean: @ah:
It’s a good request but a difficult one. It all depends on the particular needs and budget of the buyer. This is a good price for THIS PC, even at 629. On black Friday you’ll probably be able to pick up a laptop comfortably for $300-$350 that should suit the needs of many users, but it won’t have near the specs of this system.

Levi

The price went up to 629

ah

Anyone have advice for a laptop strictly for internet surfing (need to have lots and lots of windows open at the same time and still work well)? What specs should I be looking for? Thanks 🙂

Mark

I think the point is there was a Dell laptop deal yesterday that was $350. How is this $579 laptop any better?

Dan

@Mark:
This is Core i7, a high-end processor.
The Dell was a Core i3, a lower-end processor.
This has double the hard drive space and double the RAM, etc.

Ari

can i have it in windows 7?

yitz

I spoke to a rep on the chat and he offerd to give it to me for $579 even though that deal has expired
