Gift Card Deal Next Week At Staples

Page 11 of next week’s Staples ad shows a $15 Visa prepaid card for buying $150 or more in Visa prepaid cards.

You get the $15 prepaid card via filling out an online EasyRebate. Limit of 1 per household.
I know that the $200 Visa card they sell has a $6.95 fee.

If you have an Ink Bold, Ink Plus, or Ink Cash card of course you earn 5 Ultimate Rewards points for every dollar you spend at office supply store like Staples, so you’ll come out ahead 1,035 points and $8.05.

Plus of course it helps you reach that $5,000 spend threshold to earn 50,000 bonus points on the Ink Bold or Ink Plus.

Even without the $15 prepaid card rebate it can make sense to buy $200 Visa cards on Ink cards.

Last time I scaled this quite nicely. Still working on all of the Amazon Payments from it, gotta go finish my February spending tonight!

In essence $191.95 for $200 gift card and the bonus points.

Easy rebates should qualify for a check, instead of a gift card as well, yes?

are these cards like the amex pre paid and are able to be used to withdraw cash with no fees at an atm?

DAN it says one rebate per household. So can only get one per person or is there a way around this one?

“Limit 1 rebate per household. Subject to availability. See gift cards for details, terms and conditions and (if applicable) fees. All trademarks are properly of their respective owners. The Visa gift card is issued by Metabank™, member FDIC pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.”

on the one per household – does that officially mean $15 per household or 15 per every 150 that I buy at one time? just looking at your post from the last time and you clearly were being told that you could get much more than 15 per household – unless the rules were different that time? Thx!

It’s officially just one $15 card per household.

Why isn’t it unethical and borderline stealing if you do more than one per household?

Being creative doesn’t mean being ethical.

So in the essence this is a whole run around to make $8 dollars? Forsure in Boro Park the stores will not carry this deal I am not thinking it is worth it to travel all the way to Kiryas Yoel to make $8 dollars.

So is it limited to $15? In other words, let’s say I buy $400 in gift cards, I’ll still only get a $15 gift card?

@andy Your address ? you must submit the rebate!
@Peretz770 thats what it says. However if you have more than one household and you buy the cards separately….
@BigBoy They are it one per household instead of 10
    And its $15 for $150 not $100

you dont have to go to staples to buy this to get $15 prepaid card, go to officemax, go to target, show them proof and they match you with instant $15 visa gift card for buying $150 or more in VC. no need to file any stupid rebates or anything, you don’t even have to step in staples store. just show the paper with the offer they will gladly match you.

you can buy these all day and get unlimited $15 visa gift cards for FREE

Look in their terms and conditions almost all stores exclude price matching on gift cards. Even if you don’t see it specified in the t&c almost all managers will tell you that it’s excluded…. At least in my experience.

    @ all the household questions
Staples won’t honor more more than one per household their rebate dept has a way of tracking if you submit more than one per household.

they don’t read everything, they just need proof of some competitor’s deal ad.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO TO STAPLES STORE AT ALL TO MAKE FREE UNLIMITED $15 VISA GCS.

@Mileswhore: Sorry, Mileswhore, the check is issued at the option of Staples, not your option. You don’t get a choice. Read the Terms & Conditions: “Staples reserves the right to substitute a check of equal value in lieu of a Visa prepaid card at its discretion.” Not your discretion, their discretion.

@tailfin: Whether you submit the rebate using the paper form or online, you have the option to choose a check or a Staples gift card in lieu of the Visa prepaid card. The clause you quoted is merely a way out for Staples in case you opted for a Visa prepaid card and they can’t send you one for some reason.
