Club Carlson is the loyalty program for:
-Radisson and Radisson Blu.
-Park Plaza and Park Inn
-Country Inn & Suites.
You can register for each of the following promotions:
-Be one of the first 20,000 to register starting at 12:00am CST on 05/22 and stay 1 night at Park Inn by 07/15 and get 44,000 bonus Club Carlson points. (Link not yet active)
-Most paid rates and cash and points rates will qualify as a stay for this promo.
-If you have elite status with any other hotel you can email a screenshot to goldpointsplus@carlson.com to be matched to Silver or Gold status, which will earn you 2,000 points for online bookings (instead of the standard 1,000 points) as well as 50% bonus points on stays, room upgrades, and late checkout.
-Free nights at Club Carlson hotels range from 9,000 points to 50,000 points per night. They also offer cash and points awards between 5,000 and 15,000 points per night.
Here is a list of their top tier category 6 hotels.
-You can also redeem points for gift cards. For example a $50 gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond is 29,000 points.

Is it worth it to book a radisson stay in some small town for cheap and not show up, in order to be able to get the 50000 points? Would that even work?

Got two of each. I pre set up two accounts. Once I got to the page to enter email address, I put in email 1, hit enter. Clicked back on my browser, put in email 2 and hit enter!
Got conf. emails for both instantly!

Did both. But when i did the Radisson one, I got a weird looking page, but it allowed me to enter my membership number, and then congratulated me. Since then I signed up 3 more times with the same account, and it told me that im already registered.
My issue is, is that I only got a confiration email for the country inn, and not to radisson, even though the system told me 3 times that im registered. Do you think it will work for me?

FYI – there is only one hotel in Israel in the Carlson program at this time – it is the Park Plaza Orchid in Tel Aviv (category 5 – 44,000 pts.)Nice location, right on the beach. Generally good reviews on Tripadvisor, with some exceptions:

I don’t clearly understand this deal. Do you have to pay money first for a night & then they give another night free after you reserve & pay money for at least one nigh??

Not before!!@Deal Guy: When signing up 3 times for the same account – and getting a message saying ‘you are already registered’, that means you can’t register more than once with the same account. Make a new account and register with that!

Used this deal last year and was so so worth it!!!
I had booked a simple but nice hotel in Jersey, and stayed there with my wife, checked it late Saturday night after staying shabbos by a relative in NJ and enjoyed to nice indoor pool and hotel and a nice ending to the weekend…
Now best part about it was that I used the “best price guarantee” to get a even better price!!! Radisson guarantees to beat any price or they will give an additional 25% off!
From Radisson website:
“If you find a rate on another website that is lower than the best rate on radisson.com – and the rate is for the same date(s), same room type, same number of guests, at the same hotel and same rate terms or restrictions – let us know and we will honor the lower rate AND discount that rate by 25%.”
So I simply spend some time googling other hotel websites and found one that had a better price just by a few dollars and and a couple of emails and phone calls back and fourth with Raddison, they send me a email confirming that my total cost for a $100+ room was officially reserved for me for under $80!
Best part of all was that a few months later I took an official Europe honeymoon, most of my hotel nights were compliments of starwood points of course, however my very first night was in a wonderful Radisson hotel in the heart of Paris right off Champs-Élysées (normal cost roughly $450) now totally free thanks to my 50K points!
Looking to do it all over again this year and maybe a one year wedding anniversary trip…
