Why is the NY one crossed out – is it no longer working?
Those in NYC should know about some UBER Driver tricks. If you order and then a surge starts before your pickup often the driver reports that YOU cancelled. You then get a $5 immediate charge and when you rebook you pay triple. Uber claims that the drivers do not know about Surge but they have outside apps that notify them.
Drivers have a website/blog called uperpeople where they discuss how to do tricks like this.
I find it disgusting, unsure if Uber is totally legal and I wonder what Dan thinks about dirty tricks. Uber has cost me loads more that a bonus credit here and there makes up.
Yes, I have a choice but there should be one law that applies to all, not tricks for UBER because they are so big.

I had a bunch of Uber promos in my app, several which weren’t set to expire for a while. They’re all gone now. Not very cool of Uber to do. I clearly don’t use them that often, but it’s bad business. Anyone else have this happen?
@Uber promos disappeared: yes and there is nothing you can do. Uber doesn’t have a none emergency hotline and the conversation section is being answered by very dumb and third world folks.
