American and JetBlue previously announced reciprocal elite benefits, including 2 free checked bags and priority check-in and boarding.
Starting today, AA elites can select free JetBlue Even More Space seating when checking in for their flight online or at the airport. JetBlue Mosaics can select free AA Main Cabin Extra seating when checking in for their flight online or at the airport.
JetBlue Mosaics were previously able to make free confirmed same day changes on American. Starting today, AA Platinum Pro and Executive Platinum members can make free same day confirmed changes on JetBlue.
Starting in April, AA Admirals Club members will be able to access Admirals Club lounges when flying on JetBlue. Currently those lounges are only accessible if you’re flying on OneWorld carriers.
JetBlue still plans on adding the ability to redeem TrueBlue points for AA flights. You can already redeem AA miles for JetBlue flights.
Top-tier AA elites now have access to most of JetBlue’s Mosaic benefits, except for the ability to reserve free Even More Space seats in advance after rebate, though that is only valid in 2022. JetBlue Mosaics can now also select Even More Space seats during online checkin for free, without the need to wait for a rebate.
Both airlines award status to big co-brand credit card spenders. You can earn JetBlue Mosaic with $50,000 and Mosaic+ with $150,000 of spending on JetBlue Plus/Business cards. You can earn AA Gold with $30K, Platinum for $75K, Platinum Pro for $125K, and Executive Platinum for $200K in spending on AA cards.
