Yes, It’s extremely important for baking Challah, Last year I bought one without the Bowl and the transmission broke after baking challah a few times, Then I bought the stainless Steel Bowl and it works beautifully, I highly recommend buying the set with the extra bowl if you are gonna make Challah with the Bocsh.
My wife makes stunning challah, week after week, without the challah bowl. My mom did the same, in the bosch too, without that bowl. It may be something good- but they are both thrilled with their challah baking with the regular plastic bowl which is amazing. Just reporting
