International Version (no Verizon, no ring+ — if that matters to you).

5x is compatible with Sprint and Verizon too

Project Fi

Looks like this won’t work with Project Fi.
Note that Project Fi also charges $199 (though you need to activate with them and stay for 6 months (or something like that).

the link says doesnt work with CDMA carriers- but the nexus 5x usually does— is it a typo, or is this a different version

Is this phone compatible with Google’s Project Fi?

Will this work with sprint??

Actually Project Fi has a promotion with Nexus 5X. Until Sept. 11, you will get $150 credit for the 5X. This makes the 16 gig device $49 and the 32 gig device for $99. You only have to activate the service within 30 days and I would keep service for 2 months. Much better deal than Ebay. If you don’t like Project Fi after 2 months, the device is yours and you can go to another carrier.

I just called project Fi and with the promotion the nexus 5x becomes 199 otherwise it would be 150$ more.

@JohnB: I don’t see the promotion. The Project Fi site is showing the Nexus 5X at $199 for the 16GB version with activation. Do you have a link please.

Wrong, it’s $150 off $349, so total is $199.
