If you clip the “Click here to activate” coupon via this link it will tell you if you are targeted to save 20% off anything sold from Amazon when you redeem 1 AMEX Membership Rewards Point.

This is a new offer that will work even if you already redeemed past offers.

Once you do that, just add items that are shipped and sold from Amazon to your cart. This won’t work for items sold by 3rd parties.

You can save up to $50 off $250 with this offer.

You can use this offer on multiple orders until you reach $50 in max savings.

This offer expires 1/31 or when 80K offers have been redeemed.

Save on Amazon deals such as deals found here. Items must say shipped and sold by Amazon to qualify for these offers.

Amazon will automatically apply the best offer for your purchase!

If you aren’t targeted you can try:

This will only work with AMEX cards that earn Membership Rewards points, including:

Gift cards sold by Amazon that work for this promotion include:

At checkout select the Membership Rewards card that you linked.

You may need to click “Change” by the credit card at checkout if it’s showing a different default credit card.

On the final checkout page click on “Apply rewards points” and enter $0.01 to use 1 point to save 1 cent (Don’t use more than 1 point as buying on Amazon only gives a paltry value of 0.7 cents per AMEX point!):

For example I added $250 of Uber gift cards and got the $50 off with the 20% off AMEX Promo and $0.01 from the 1 point used at checkout:

If you want to pay with your Amazon gift card balance, you can try adding a new Amazon gift card of any amount at checkout.

Which offers are you targeted for and what will you buy?

2/2 !! thanks

Is there a way to use this promotion with a different credit card, e.g. use one Amex point and a visa/mc for the remainder?

Reload your gift card balance with the card of your choice, then use this offer with the balance.

Amazon doesn’t seem to allow using GC balance at the same time as using (even one) Amex points.

Chuchum Ainer

You can try to buy an amazon gc with the other card and then apply it forward the order, charging the rest to the amex

the who

USam can you please elaborate? thank you

Buy an Amazon gift card at Amazon with the card of your choice, or through the recommended way at an office supply store with the Chase Ink Cash card, and add it to your account.
Set your Amex MR earning card as your default payment method. (I don’t think it’s a must, but it should help.)
When you check out, it should initially show that you’re paying with the Amex card, but it’s first using the gift card balance on the account.
At that point, “click on “Apply rewards points” and enter $0.01 to use 1 point to save 1 cent.”
It should now have both, give you 20% off, and have the gift card balance as the payment method. (See screenshot above.)

Can I buy an Amazon gift card with this promo?

Targeted, thanks!

4/5 Thanks!

Can I buy a Staples gift card and use that to buy a Visa gift card from Staples?

Finally targeted..

thanks targeted! (9/10) by the way at my it says: The promotion will end on the earlier of (a) 11:59 PT on “1/31/2020” or (b) the time at which 80,000 customers have redeemed the offer

Would this work on a amex Delta card?

Thanks, Dan! Got WFM and SBUX. It’s like $50 for free!

Thank you, Dan! I appreciate being able to save on things I needed to buy anyway!

Help, I checked out by mistake and because I activated this offered it paid with 1990 of my points.
I canceled the order as soon as I noticed, am I getting my points back?

No reason you shouldn’t. Check your balance and you could use the chat feature (or w/e you prefer) if there’s an issue.

If you have secondary accounts for family members, can they get their own offer?

Does this mean that if the offer is already activated I have to do all my purchasing/spending by 1/31/20 or we just need to “sign up” by then?

I can only get the 20% off if I’m targeted? Sorry I’m a little confused how to do this when I click the link It says I’m not targeted-

I placed an order and took advantage of the promo (only used $47). I want to change the shipping address. However it won’t let me because the shipping speed is different with the new address. If I cancel, will the promo (full $50) be available again for me to place a new order?

what about if i return the item will i be able to use the offer again?

I used amazon and it did not work. 🙁 it already went through the purchase.. ugh

Seems like it was extended through February

I just tried on an account that I already activated it before and they are still offering me the %20 discount at checkout.

And they now extended it till 2/15

Thanks for the reminder. I didn’t realize it could be used multiple times UP TO $50 in savings so I went back for an UberEats GC. You have to make sure its sold by Amazon for it to apply. Also, as soon as I used up my balance I got $20 off $50 available for me, so I was able to use that also tonight!

I’m confused….I was targeted once, a long time ago. Every time there is a targeted post, I click on the link and it says (in red): Your points will be applied at checkout but we were not able to activate the promo code. If you have already activated this code, your discount will be applied at checkout.

How is it that members are using it multiple times, or how can I activate it to work again? The discussion re buying gift cards is confusing to me as well, but if that’s the way to go, I will read again with focus! I have an Amex Gold with mr, used already for this promo, and my husband has a 2nd, linked card. Thx

Apple iPad 32GB Cellular – Space Gray is going for $459 before the Amex promo. How do you get it down to $229 as in the post above?

can this be used for multiple purchases (seperate orders) if the full $50 has not been used up?

just checked in my account & they have still not exp. !!

Anyone know if this is slated to end tonight?
