Several DDF members are reporting that they were not targeted for the 20% off Amazon promo with 1 AMEX point promotion, but that they are able to get 20% off by using 1 AMEX points and applying the following code at checkout: AMEXSWP20PD
The code is also working for many people who have already used up the $100 credit!
You can link your American Express Membership Rewards card to your Amazon account by clicking here.
This will only work with AMEX cards that earn Membership Rewards points, such as the AMEX Everyday Preferred, AMEX Platinum, AMEX Business Platinum, etc. It won’t work with Delta, Hilton, Starwood, or cash back cards.
Once you do that, just add items that are shipped and sold from Amazon to your cart. This won’t work for items sold by 3rd parties.
You can save up to $100 off $500 with this offer. You can use this offer on multiple orders until you reach $100 in max savings.
At checkout select the Membership Rewards card that you linked. You may need to click “Change” by the credit card at checkout if it’s showing a different default credit card.
On the final checkout page click on “Apply rewards points”, enter $0.01 to use 1 point to save 1 cent (Don’t use more than 1 point as buying on Amazon only gives a paltry value of 0.7 cents per AMEX point!), and click update.
After that, apply the promo code: AMEXSWP20PD
It’s far more lucrative than usual, because it takes the 20% off from the original price.
For example, the Bose QuietComfort 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones for Apple were $279 yesterday and are $125 after $154 in Prime Day savings.
The 20% off works off the $279 price, so it takes off another $55.80. That drops the price down to just $69.20!

Needed the code for this one. But for all my orders so far, I got the additional 20% off. I called customer service earlier and they told me there is no cap on the 20% off. Used it 10s of times today.

This seems to be attached to the credit card. First promo I was not qualified but hubs was. Used $92 of the $100. I just applied this code to an order in my account with same credit card and it only applied $8.
