Yes, there are many examples of this exactly happening, and never were they sent correctly. They load these types of cards on shipment. You’re 100% getting the value you ordered. Good luck fighting it.

This happened in August 2022 and the gift cards everyone received had only the value paid for it. We all argued with customer service and after a tedious back and forth they credited our account a minimal promo amount. It wasn’t worth it in the end. Either way, I bought 24 last night. We’ll find out the verdict on Sunday.

Last time it was a pain and they refused to offer the full value. If you keep the order, you’ll probably get a $5 courtesy credit but not worth the amount of time you need to spend on a call with them.

What about the Nordstrom and Doordash cards? In my recent orders they are adjusting to the price paid but have the face value on the card. Im on with amazon now… they said wait until they get delivered and call back if they are wrong.

I just called Amazon about the 6 gift cards I purchased. They will be arriving tomorrow and the representative assured me that each card will have $25 on it and to call back if there isn’t since it was a mistake on their end.
Good luck. When you call back you’ll see it’s not that easy. It doesn’t mention $25 anywhere are Amazon cards are filled based on custom amounts you choose to buy.
This is what happened last time to me as well. They said I’ll get it. In the end they deactivated my cards and gave me a small courtesy credit after who knows how much time I spent talking to them.
You could get lucky though. Worse case, you’re not out any money.

They are apparently automatically cancelling everyone’s orders and allowing only 1 per account.
However, I called up and they told me they are going to credit all the amounts onto one card after I receive it. I ordered 12 so they said the difference would be refunded.

Amazon emailed me that they cancelled my order but are issuing me a $25 credit to my account due to the inconvenience. (I had ordered 8)
All too often these days these kind of “deals” are really not a deal. Most of the time the companies don’t honor it and you just waste your time buying them and then spending hours arguing with them to no avail. Better to stay away I find.

So they realized that they made a mistake and cancelled all of the orders except for one. They made it seem as if they were going to honor just one gift card, but then when the gift card comes its only for $13.95? Shouldn’t it be for $25, otherwise why cancel the other orders?
