Does anyone know how this compares to the doona?
We have it. Bought it instead of the Doona and we love it! We got the “gold” version of the dual ride which comes with more premium materials and a lifetime warranty. We’ve been super happy with it so far and it improves on a lot of things people complained about with the Doona!
Lifetime warranty does not make sense. All car seats have a finite life span, usually ten years at most.
“Lifetime” warranty is a joke. they state that “The dualride has a 6 year expiration date from the manufacturer”
if that isnt bad enough read the fine print on the warranty..
“If your Gold Car Seat is damaged due to the following, the Gold Lifetime Warranty does not apply:
• Misuse or poor maintenance. Please refer to this instruction manual for guidance;
• Corrosion, mold or rust caused by lack of maintenance or service;
• Sun intensity, sweat, detergents, damp storage or frequent washings;
• Accident, abuse, neglect, or use on stairs or escalators;
• Improper storage:
• Airline or freight damage.”
as a doona owner, this sounded promising, however the positive reviews comparing it to doona seem fake.. also note this model is almost 4 pounds heavier than the Doona which is heavy enough as it is..
FYI I searched on the NHTSA website and this seat doesn’t seeem to be crash test rated
seems to me the best car seat for fling as you could take of the wheels which makes much lighter
But, but, if you take off the wheels then it doesn’t have wheels.
keep them in the carryon for use once off the plane
you can only remove the wheels if the wheels are still attached to the car. if you are nit going to leave the wheels in the car, the wheel cannot be removed. v
This one is approved for use in Canada (the doona is not)
