Price depends on size. I got a 42R in black for $29, but its now higher. I also will need to get it checked as its 11% “other fibers”

be careful about purchasing wool blend clothing that lists other fibers, may be a shatnez concern.

There is free returns. Even if it doesn’t list other fibers you should probably get it tested for shatnez.

@Dan: once tested for shatnez can it be returned? Don’t they make a hole in it to test?

@Abraham – My concern is more about the content of the weave. When they check the fiber of the coat they don’t make a hole, its only when they check the collar for support. If the coat itself is shatnez they wont check the collar because you can’t fix the fiber content of the material. If the coat material is OK and they find shatnez in the collar they just remove the collar support and you can get your local tailor to fix it.

If anyone had it checked for Shatnez, pls report back.

Yesterday I got mine checked at 203 Lee Avenue (the original shatnez lab). My 42R in black did not have shatnez.

Hi, I’m no Rabbi nor do I play one on TV. I can give you an educated guess based on years of bringing things to be checked, but would recommend you go to your LOR.

If the items are the same size, same colors and are produced in the same factory, I would assume that they are made with the same material. Its when they are different colors or perhaps even sizes that I would (if it was me) get them both checked. Of course different factories would always need to be checked.

One last piece of advice – when I brought it in to be checked, I was told that “Other Fibers” always means synthetic, not linen.
