United Cardholders Leap Day Award Sale: Fly Round-Trip To Select European Cities For 50K Miles
- Cardmembers must login using MileagePlus number to book award. No limit to the number of award tickets booked.
- The promotion applies to new award bookings and not to award tickets already booked.
- Promotion valid for travel between the mainland U.S. and London (LHR), Brussels (BRU), Amsterdam (AMS), Frankfurt (FRA)
- Tickets must be purchased by March 1, 2024.
- Roundtrip purchase is required.
- Complete travel by May 9, 2024.
Sadly, this sale is only valid in economy class. Awards will cost 50K miles round-trip instead of the usual 60K-80K miles round-trip.
United no longer charges any award redeposit cancellation fees, so you’ll get your miles and taxes back if you cancel anytime before departure! If you previously booked travel, check to see if you should rebook it with this sale.

What about after I fly the departure? Can I cancel return award flight?
I recently called United to cancel an award flight, they said if I cancel my reservation within 30 days of departure, there is a $125 redeposit fee for the miles, is that correct?
