CNN is reporting that the Biden Administration will finally drop the requirement to produce a negative COVID test before boarding an international flight to the US.
That is expected to go into effect at midnight on Sunday, but it’s unclear what the rule will be for people who depart on Saturday and arrive into the US on Sunday. When the official rule is published we should know more about the exact timing.
Airlines have been heavily lobbying for this, as people were avoiding international travel in order to avoid getting stuck abroad.

Just came back from Israel last night. We did the EMed at home kits for our covid tests the day before departing. Worked fine. We never filled out the COVID ‘declaration form’ that I thought the US required. We were never asked for it by anyone at TLV or IST (our connection to the flight to the US)
There is no “covid declaration form”. It’s up to the airline at the point of departure to request and approve the information.
Did the same route after Lag B’omer. Not a single request to see results.

Canada dropped the testing requirements months ago! Still required to be vaccinated.
Only citizens, PR, or vaccinated can enter. No pre-test for vaccinated. Yes pre-test for non-vaxxed. (by land or air). May require random arrival test by plane.
Still 14 day quarantine for non-vaccinated. (and yes they still check!)
ArriveCan form required for all.
Kids 12+ same rules as adults.
Kids under 12 unvaxxed travelling with a vaxxed parent – no test, no quarantine. With non-vaxxed parent, yes test and yes quarantine.
Thank heavens! I got so stressed with the thoughts of this in 2022, but decided to just deal with it instead of staying home.
