Capital One opened a massive highly rated lounge in Dallas/DFW last year, with free access for Venture X Cardholders and 2 guests, as well as free additional user cardholders and 2 guests.

They plan on opening additional lounges in Denver/DEN and Washington/IAD early next year with more lounges to come.

They are now also planning on opening Capital One Landing locations, which will offer food and beverages in the heart of airport terminals near the gates. Those will debut at LaGuardia Terminal B and Washington/DCA.

  • The Capital One Landing at DCA will be 5,483 square feet, centrally located immediately post-security in the airport’s Terminal 2, at the intersection of National Hall and Concourse D, with convenient access to Concourses B, C, D and E.
  • The Capital One Landing at LGA will be 10,700 square feet, located on one of the iconic skybridges in the brand new, state-of-the-art Terminal B. The indoor/outdoor concept will offer stunning views of the NYC skyline and airfield.

Capital One is also going to be launching The Premier Collection of hotels, with benefits for Venture X Cardholders, similar to AMEX FHR.

Those hotels will qualify for the card’s $300 travel credit and 10x points per dollar, plus you’ll get a $100 experience during your stay, breakfast for 2, free WiFi, upgrades, early check-in, late checkout, and you will earn standard elite credit, elite benefits, and hotel points.

Chicago O’Hare needs a lounge. Access is pretty lousy there for one of the busiest airports in the world.

So basically they’re gonna add lower quality lounges in DCA and LGA but don’t wanna hurt their lounge brand so they’re rebranding it as a different kinda lounge. If they have kosher food then I’m totally ok with that!
