The Delta-El Al partnership is now live, and there are some great deals to be had!
Delta is currently selling El Al codeshare flights for significantly less than El Al is charging directly!
You can search for flights via Google Flights or Delta.com.
For example, a business class flight from Tel Aviv to JFK from March 3-10 sold on Delta.com with a Delta codeshare and operated by El Al is just $2,502 round-trip, plus it’s fully refundable!
That’s over $1,000 less than what El Al charges for the same flights on their site!
Sadly, these are Israel point-of-sale tickets and are not available to book via US travel agencies, so you won’t be able to directly redeem AMEX or Chase Hybrid points for these. But you may be able to redeem for other Delta flights, cancel those for Delta flight credit, and use that flight credit to book this.

Why wouldnt it show up on Amex travel ?
Because AMEX/Chase are US point of sale and this fare is only available with Israel point of sale.

Would elal honor delta platinum medallion members? I have not used my platinum medallion status yet… But I heard you get complimentary upgrades to comfort plus and even first class within 5 days of the flight
Just wondering, if I buy these tickets with a Chase Sapphire, can I go ahead and pay for the charge with points, thereby getting the 50% points deduction?

I just looked at economy tickets in late Feb and Elal was $1100 and Delta was $1300.

Booked a flight on Delta on Sunday, Dec. 16 for March 3rd 2024 to TLV with El Al codeshare for the international portion. They cancelled the booking. They say they are not taking reservations for flights to Israel before mid-March even though El Al is the carrier for the international portion. Any suggestions?
