Back in July I wrote about Amazon offering Prime members a $1 instant video credit for choosing no-rush shipping instead of 2 day shipping.

At first they were offering the $1 credit on all items, though then they got smart and started only offering it on items that cost at least $1.01.

Credits post once your items actually ships.

Those credits expired 10/31.

In September I wrote how the program had changed to book and eBook credit.  Those credits expire 12/31.

Now I just noticed that it has changed again.  Now you can use the credit for eBooks, digital music, And Amazon instant video credit.  The credits will be valid until 03/31/15.

I’d guess that in February we’ll see another change 🙂

Amazon offers free shipping with $35+ orders or get free next-day shipping on all orders with a free trial of Amazon Prime. Prime members can share benefits with a Household member here, allowing them to double up on Amazon Prime promos!  A 6 month trial and discounted Prime membership is available with Amazon Student. EBT/Medicaid Cardholders can save on Prime Membership here.

Is 1.01 minimum still there?

Dan

@Mike B:
Yes.

Dan – does this mean that previously-awarded $1 credits, originally for books and ebooks only, can be used for music as well? Thanks!

Dan

@Yehuda:
No.

If I have let’s say $10 book credits and $2 expires in 2 days and $8 expires in December, and I buy a book that costs $3 they will take the ones that expires soon?

Dev

Where can you see how much credit you have and when it expires?

Mike B

@Dan I guess my 1k $0.02 orders for video credit last time will have to satisfy me, lol.

@Dev: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1000811661

@DanE: You should include that URL with all posts like this.

@All: I always have to Google for that URL.

The $1.01 minimum is after a using a coupon? or total must be $1.01

MordyNY

@Dan: I guess you should change the answer, If you ask then it only works for $1.01 and more……..

Daniel

@HansGolden, That link doesn’t check book/ebook credits. I’ve gotten a few of those and have found no way to check those credits.

Like book credits much better. Wasted my digital video if you have prime streaming who needs the video?

Check your credit by adding a book to your cart (or digital item if you want to know your digital credit), and going to the checkout page.

Jay

Hey Dan, do you know where I can check my book/ ebook credits? Thanks

anne

I’m really confused with the Ebooks credits. I have utilized the no rush shipping. My credit hasn’t expired. I’m purchasing Ebooks but the no rush shipping credits aren’t applied. Amazon says that’s because to use the credit, books must be published by Amazon Digital Services. That severely limits your Ebooks selections. Not only that, but the books published by Amazon Digital Services are next to impossible to find on the site. I’ll take two day shipping instead.
