have you actually tested the jetblue amex as churnable? it would pretty much suck if I signed up for another card while canceling my current one, and paying another $40 annual fee while not getting any points! Plus, I mean 50 points = 1/2 a flight… my experience w/ jetblue is that they don’t let people get away w/ this type of stuff..

Yes, you can use this with the $30 discount.

Yes, I tested churning the Jetblue card, churnability of a card has nothing to do with the airline, and everything to do with the technology/desire of the issuer for each particular card.

Mind you, that any card can change from being churnable to non-churnable at any time!

Beware of Starwoods transfers to continental, you’ll only get half of the 5000 bonus points. 20,000 will only yield 12,500, not 15,000. THE BONUS POINTS ARE ADDED ON BEFORE THE 2:1 CALCULATIONS!

    From my confirmation email:

You have successfully transferred your Starpoints® to Continental Airlines.
We suggest that you print this e-mail for your records.

Trading Starwood points for Continental miles at 2:1 should be a crime!

Do you have a better way to get me to Israel? (with some flexibility, for ex. you can transfer to delta, and fly el al business with 120,000 delta miles)

I don’t want to (can’t) stop-over. It’s either Continental, El Al, or Both. Dan, what would be your suggestion?

-Delta flies nonstop Atlanta-TLV and begins jfk-tlv nonstop in March. Starwood transfers to Delta at 20,000:25,000

-If you want to go on Continental then open Continental cards or AMEX MR cards. The business gold rewards card advertised on the top of this site gives 25,000 MR points for signing up, which transfers into 25,000 Continental miles.

-Use Starwood direct deposit to transfer starpoints 1:1 into Continental.

If you booked and will fly within the promo dates, and you register before you fly, then yes.

I flew already 2x from jfk, after signing up and have yet to see my triple points. Double for online booking are there, but not triple.
