How about $492 from EWR to TLV–you just have to go EWR to ATL and then JFK and then TLV, but the flight back is non-stop to JFK, and then you just get off the plane. On Orbitz, still, at Sat. night at 6PM.

Fantastic find. Just really hard to find valid dates and no calendar option on ITA for multi-city.
Anything under $498 will error out.
But with this trick it comes out much cheaper and you can fly nonstop in JFK, claim your bags, and just throwaway the ticket to MIA.

i have two laptops at home and a cell with internet. all 3 were giving me different prices all night. u really have to keep playing around and maybe clear your computer first (control-alt-delete). eventually i booked five tickets using multi-city.
on way to israel search nyc-tlv
on way home type tlv- (boston, washington, dallas , miami)…i played around until i used one. but u can get off in jfk and not even continue on to your stopover.
and priceline, orbitzm expedia also give three different things…just keep playing but from experience orbitz was the best.

i think there is a difference between orbitz and priceline.
orbitz will give the tickets for cheaper for kids where as priceline wont.

thanks dan, Just booked for lag baomer for $679 on priceline, departing wed return mon via detroit.
you just have to play with priceline, everytime i checked, they gave a different price even for the same combination, i just wonder why they didnt have for lag baomer the same as good price as for pesach or purim etc. but anyway happy with that deal too.

I think that all these ‘deals’ are really being sponsored by the israeli govt. This is part of their tourism push to get yidden to come to eretz yisroel. We are dumb enough to think its pricing errors and get all exciting and go running for it. Bottom line, every gains!

Just called Orbitz to add my daughter as a lap infant. They charged a total of $100.40 for the taxes. I would suggest calling Delta directly to add a lap infant as I had to call them afterwards to confirm and make sure everything was correct.
They told me that the infant ticket would be sent via US mail as they do not yet have electronic booking for lap infant….WTF.

Dan do you know what the exact fees are for canceling or switching the date AFTER 24 hours pass? What happens if you book 9 months in advance and it’s not a good time? ie pregnancy etc. Orbitz told me one thing and Delta told me something else. Any idea? @rachel: to get the service fee waived cal and cancel with a rep on the phone . When canceling online u lose the service fee but on the phone they refund that to u as well
