American Express is a DansDeals.com advertiser. Find consumer cards offers on this page and business card offers on this page.

AMEX has targeted some cardholders with an offer for a $20 statement credit for spending $20 on Amazon.

If you are targeted you can just go to this link to directly to add $20 into your Amazon account.  Just type in $20 as the amount you wish to add to your account.  These funds never expire.

Or you can buy a $20 gift card with free shipping. Amazon gift cards never expire. You can also buy an eGift card that is sent right away.

To see if you’re targeted just login to your AMEX account, click on any of your cards to go the activity page, and then scroll down to AMEX offers and benefits or click on “AMEX Offers For You”.

If you also have multiple cards with the offer don’t rush to save the offer to your account!  Open up the Offers page for each card in a separate tab in the same browser.  Then go quickly between the tabs to save the offer to each of your targeted cards.  Otherwise once you save the offer to one card it disappears from your other cards.

You can also register your secondary cards for their own AMEX login and see if they are targeted for the offer as well.

Several DDF’ers report that their primary cards were not targeted, but their additional user card accounts that have their own unique login were targeted.

And don’t forget to check what other goodies are hiding in your account for you!

Once you create separate logins for your AUs:

1) Do all of the charges still show up under the Primary or do you need to pay off each card individually?

2) Is there a way to move the AUs back to the Primary card’s login?

David

Dan ,when all my cards that are under the same login ,have always the same offers .i never have 1 card yes an one card not .is that normal ?

David

If I don’t see it now in the offers page possible it we there soon ?

Nikki

If the offer isn’t showing up now, what are the chances it will show up in the near future?

JoshBee

@David: @LA2NYC: Looks like the offers vary per login account, not per card/type of card. Even if you have a few cards they would all have the same offers if they’re on the same login

china

if i have 2 au’s with seperate logins will saving the offer for one make it go away for the other

Dan

@LA2NYC:
All charges show up under both the AU login and primary login.

@David:
Depends on the offer.

@David:
@Nikki:
YMMV.

@china:
No.

joe

David

@Dan:
No idea what YMMV is reffering too….

Deenz

alex

I had two offers on the same login with 2 different cards, opened two windows in same browser, but once I opted in in one, the second disappeared

Dan

@alex:
You had each offer page opened in different tabs and it disappeared right away?

Never happened to me.

Moko

Offer came up across all 20 AU
Thanks

Dan

@Moko:
Awesome!
Go lock in those free gift cards!

lyla

The offer did not show up on any of my accounts but did show up on the AU accounts – how strange!

rachel

can anyone help me with this problem? When I create online accounts for AU’s they often ask you for your billing Zip code. Whenever I type mine in, they don’t recognize it and I cant create an account. Amex phone rep couldnt help me. Anyone have a similiar problem? Thx in advance

Mike B

Dan, if I have 100 AUs, do you thing best strategy is 100 separate logins, or all on one account?

Yingerman

@Mike B: Definitely 100 separate logins, otherwise you have no chance…

nosy

how and why do you gave 100au?

Anonymous

@rachel: I had this problem it’s because you need your full zip 5 digits plus the next 4 digits

David

Thanks!

pcgeek

@rachel: Try the full zip code (9 digits).

DanR NYC

Thanks for the heads up Dan. Sometimes I need a reminder, like this one, to check my Amex offers.

@Anonymous: thanks!

Q

Can i register AU without SS? Was unsuccessful. suggestions?
otherwise AU not on a sep tab.
if saved primary and didnt do AU, is it lost for AU?
Called tech support, they didnt know why couldnt create AU accounts.

AU

When tried to register, said would send text code to verify, didnt get text, asked again for it, said would need to call. have called and was verified, and then still rep could not figure out how to register and what the issue is. didnt reach zip area.
suggestions?

at

you can save yourself some time and don’t go through every single au account. after going through many many accounts I have figured out that if the card was targeted for last years amazon free spend it will not have this offer. only my oldest account had the offers for its aus even though the au were less old than some of my other accounts which had no targeted aus.

judah

Will it automatically give me $20 credit once i buy something??

Dan

@judah:
It will post as a credit to your AMEX account within a week.

judah

@dan:

thanx!

EZS

Thanks Dan! Got it!
