Korean Returning As A Chase Transfer Partner 01/25.

Update: I have confirmed this myself via SM as well:

———————————————————————-

DDF member mayer522 reports that he was told in a SM from Chase that Korean Airlines will be back as a Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner after a 2 month hiatus effective this Sunday, 01/25.

Thank you for contacting Chase about transferring points
to Korean Air.

Please note, for contractual reasons, Korean Air was
removed as a points transfer partner in Ultimate Rewards.
I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

However, Chase has renegotiated the contract for Korean
Air and it will return as a points transfer partner on
January 25, 2015.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

I have not been able to independently verify this, but Korean offers lots of sweet award redemptions that were part of the “30 awesome things you can do with Ultimate Rewards” so that’s great news if it pans out!

    Hi Dan thanks for helping us save money (or spend money on savings),
    I would like to go on vacation from NYC to LAX leaving NYC February 16 afternoon and leaving Los Angeles February 23 morning, I have now a fare lock on 2 united tickets $400 each till Friday would you recommend I should book the tickets or wait that probably jet-blue or some other airline will come out closer to that date with a big special like JetBlue did now?

    @Chase šŸ™:
    Lol, you can always use the creditcards.com banners on the top.

    @Fishel:
    Doubt prices will drop too much with a flight that soon.

    @Jacob:
    Where did I do that?

    Fishel, you can use the Forum (right margin of this site — click and discover a whole new world!) to get advice on finding a good fare.

    But, I’ll agree with Dan, that you probably won’t find much better for that week, which is a popular school vacation week. Good luck!

    I know its off topic but If I just got the usair bonus and want to cancel the card (after having it for 2 months) how much will it hurt my credit score?

    @Don: doing the research now! But if I’m planning on applying for another one before they discontinue the card would you recommend closing the first one first basedmon previous experience? Thanks!

    So if I understand correctly, when the Chase to Korean transfer is available again, it is only fro Sapphire and Ink? Not Freedom?

    Thanks.

    Can Chase UR be transferred to AA or US Airway mileage programs? If yes, what is the conversion ratio?
