maven: that’s exactlly the point u don’t pay anything till u book a flight or rent a car so there’s no need to cancel besides the insurence is well worth it

you run into problems if you book a car or flight for friend or family bc they automatically charge your card and you will have to call in everytime to get your money back, DOES THIS COVER LIABILITY insurance which is required in California?? Apparantly every time I rent in CA they charge me an extra $15 a day for what they call mandatory Liability unsurance
but i dont understand dont you recieve insurance anyways with most major cc maybe not as good but we recieve travel and rac insurance

I signed up the last time Dan posted this. If you are just looking to get a new bag I would suggest you pass on this offer. The bag is carry-on size, gray, and made of plastic. lol! It seems somewhat durable. The insurance is great though.

I’ve rented many times in CA and I’ve never been charged this fee. (I do have liability insurance but I don’t recall them asking about it)

basically you’re covered for more with less hassle.
the travel delay insurance and baggage insurance is a must nowadays when one travels. if the airline cancels your flight, they will usually give you nothing. sometimes the airline will give you some cheap hotel. (after waiting in the airport on the customer service line together with the other 100 or so passengers who are on your flight.) with this insurance, you call amex to make a claim, spend money on whatever you need, and they will reimburse you.
for every ticket you buy, they charge you seperately. so, if you are flying with your wife and child, and bought 3 tickets, they will charge you 3 times, but you get the $500 for 2 days on every ticket = up to $1500!
