Extended holiday return window:

• Amazon: Purchases made 11/1-12/31 can be returned until 1/31/24.
• B&H Photo: Purchases made 10/29-1/1 can be returned until 1/31/24.
• Dell: Purchases made 11/1-12/25 can be returned until 1/15/22 or 30 days whichever is later.
• Kohl’s allows returns of most items within 180 days, but has a holiday return policy for premium electronics purchased between 11/1-12/25 to be returned until 1/31/24.
• Macy’s allows returns for items bought after 10/2 until 1/31.
• Nordstrom accepts returns at any time “on a case-by-case basis with the ultimate objective of making our customers happy.”
• WalMart: Most items purchased between 10/1-12/31 have until 1/31/23 to be returned

Select AMEX cards come with 90 days of free return protection all year long. And it’s amazing. It works on items that have a return policy less than 90 days long, even if it’s a final sale item! Typically you’ll even get to keep the item and still get a refund, though you might get a prepaid shipping label to send it back to AMEX and get a refund. It’s valid on items up to $300 and is good for up to $1,000 in returns per card per calendar year. This chart shows which AMEX cards still have this benefit. One excellent card that has the benefit is the AMEX Blue Cash Preferred AMEX.
