From time to time, Dan posts similar looking non-Weber-brand grills for about the same price, occasionally under $100. This is a Weber, well known for its quality and durability. I grabbed one. Thanks very much, Dan.

many tried to price match with HomeDepot and HD contacted WayFair about the low price and now WayFair is in process of cancelling the orders … mine status changed from Preparing shipping to onhold …

Never call who other companies I had someone ready to price match to Wayfair she didn’t call anyone. By the time she got to Wayfair site it was down
On an other forum, someone claims to have attempted a price match at HD, and they called wayfair to verify the price. They stated it’s a price error and orders are to be canceled. I indeed didn’t give this more than a 1% chance it will go through.

I had my order price matched at HD. They did not call..merely looked at the link I provided to Wayfair. Hopefully between the two, I’ll get a grill

FYI….This said DEAD but I just ordered the grill AND got a confirmation email from Wayfair at 9:09 am. It wasn’t working from my smartphone to add to cart but then, still using my phone, I did a search for “Weber spirit grill” on Wayfair and was able to add it that way. I’m expecting it’ll be cancelled but…

I just called about the hold and they said they messed up on the price and the hold was only to give them time to fix their error, but to rest assure that everyone who ordered them, the order and price will be honored, but it may delay shipping by a day.
Fake News – Cancellations on all orders are coming shortly even with orders that were put in yesterday before the deal was posted here (where all deals come to die…).

I did not call about my personal order and as predicted I just received cancellation. So I do not think it will make any difference. Everyone that says their orders are being “honored” most of them are being trolls unless they can produce proof otherwise.

I looked back at my business law classes relating to this. A unilateral mistake (only one party to contract) where the second party did not clearly know it was a mistake can be an enforceable contract. I did not “clearly know it was an error”.
I tried e-mailing them questioning the legalities behind their cancelling the sales. As expected; they’ve got themselves covered in their terms and conditions….. In their response, they said they had sold in excess of 11,000 of these grills at a third (their words) of their intended sales price. 11,000!!!
Hmmmm now I started to get marketing emails from Wayfair maybe they purposely do this so they can get a bigger marketing book?!?
I ordered early yesterday and got an immediate confirmation. But when I checked email after Shabbos, I got an one saying that the $123 had been refunded to my account. Bummer!
My order is still on hold but I can’t find the order confirmation in my email anymore. Is it possible they recalled it because they plan to cancel my order?

I’m super unimpressed with the way they cancelled all these orders. They are in no way obligated to ship out a pricing mistake, but a nice email with a apology for our mistake and possibly some random 10% off next order is obligatory.

I hope it wasn’t the propane/charcoal by Royal Gourmet Corp. Lots of bad reviews on that one. I was given two options; the one above and also the other offered was the performance TRU infrared by Char broil which I gladly accepted.
