If they ship what they are showing, then nobody would want to return it. If they ship the wrong thing, they have to fix it somehow.

Same here. Ihad screenshot my order conf. I went back and checked, it too says 8gb. Not sure how we’ll have grounds for return as we have no proof we selected 16gb.

Haha. I’m sure that concept applies between merchants. Between buyer and sellers when item is not sold as described, seller can accommodate the sell with a letter describing the issue without breach, but if simply sends it with no “accommodation” in breach of agreement. ♂️

The model number in the listing (Z125000DL) is for the 16 gb model… The listing is clearly not right, but you can probably make a proper argument based on the model number listed if they ship 8gb models.
Just googled it myself, seems as if that model number may not be specific to this RAM.

Lol. Don’t get a Mac if you want to use Microsoft Flight simulator. Might work OK in a virtual machine with the 16GB ram. Won’t be what you want though. I’ve played a few games on Parallels on my M1 MacBook Pro with 16GB ram. Not great, but works.

Heads up everyone they are going to cancel all the orders. I just spoke with customer service to see if I can change my shipping speed and they representative said that they are going to be sending out bulk cancelation emails. This was some glitch (which we all obviously knew) and some company bought over 6,000 of them and it wasn’t supposed to be available or something. I am not sure about the 6k order part but just so no one gets there hopes to high know that 99.999% chance it will be canceled. Maybe someone somehow will get lucky. I do appreciate that dans deals did mentioned that “There is a high likelihood this will be canceled.” from the get go.
These things are usually destined for failure bec of the flippers.

Why did you call up to try to change the shipping speed? 2-6 business days not fast enough, or trying to save a few bucks by downgrading shipping speed?
Maybe was trying to bump up to overnight shipping to see if it would ship before the orders get canceled.
I wish there was a way to find out who these abusers of the deal buyer code is and blacklist their IP from Dansdeals.
I ordered yesterday and called today because my zip code was wrong and I wanted to fix it… the lady on the phone said that the order is pending cancelled because it’s a marketing glitch and they only had 11 units in stock and now it’s back ordered… I didn’t get a cancellation email yet.
Rats! Oh well. I guess my husband didn’t get me a nice Mother’s Day gift then.

A) Never call the company to inquire about an order if you think it’s a price mistake. This only alerts them of the mistake and pretty much guarantees cancellation.
B) @Dan, don’t you think this is a marketing ploy in bad faith by companies to get people to their website, generate business and put them on their email lists?
