Why would anyone pay $180 for a $200 Sears gift card when you can pay $170 for two $100 cards?

Why is PayPal’s login process so insane? First I have to put in my password then enter a code they send me by text. Go to next screen and have to login again and confirm via text that I’m making a purchase. Next switch my payment method because they default to my checking account. Confirm again via text that I’m making a payment. Finally…success! I was able to make my purchase.

Last time I bought gift cards from ebay, I paid with eBay gift cards that I had bought from Newegg during the Amex offer at the end of 2015. I should have paid attention and used Ink instead, saving the eBay cards for something else.
