However you can return items up to $300 each with an AMEX card such as the Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express for 90 days thanks to their absolutely incredible return protection! You can return up to $1,000 per year per card. These returns can be done online at the AMEX claims center or by calling the American Express number on the back of your card.
Chase return protection requires more paperwork and you always need to actually return the item, but on cards like the Chase Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card® Card Visa you can return items up to $500 each and $1,000 per year.

Make sure people know that they bill your credit card immediately but ship the products out 3-4 weeks later, so you will have to pay your credit card before you even receive the products.
Hey Dan- Chase sapphire actually reduced there program to return protection of up to $250 per item. And $1000 annual limit. This was as of Nov 1st 2013. And since it is a third party insurance they are strict about it.

My November 1st packet still says $500 per item.
@Dan: I do have preferred and I returned a $300 item last week and a rep called me saying they are on going to refund me $250 because of the new $250 limit. I have to look into this more but I did argue it and they said this is the new limitation.
