I recommend the pro too. The video quality is better.
Pro needs to be wired, if don’t have existing doorbell or not sure how to install the 2 is much more straightforward

does ring security system allow you to set schedule to turn on say Friday night at 1 am and back off by 8 am shabbos morning ? I bought nest system and thought it worked like thermostat and doorbell but it didn’t have feature to turn on motion sensor after everyone is in for the night

If you don’t want backup storage, then there is no fee for live video.
$3/month or $30/year per camera if you want cloud storage. $10 a month or $100 a year for unlimited devices including their alarm sevice. I have their cameras and alarms all around my house and pay $100 a year.
Can it be connected with the wires from a standard door bell that’s just a bell not attached to an intercom?
Yes. I replaced standard doorbell with the pro one. There was no intercom there before.
