Shucks, no option to trade in Echo Dot 3rd Gen that I dont use…..
I traded in my Echo First Gen (which I’ve had for years) – for a Show 5, which essentially became a 1 for 1 swap:
Regular price = $90
Trade-in = $25 gift card (not instant though)
25% off = 22.50
Prime Day discount = $40
Tax = $2
So 92-87.50 = 4.50
So I paid a net of $4.50 for the upgrade

Not working for me. I don’t see the option for instant payment anywhere.
I ordered 3 echo dot 3rd gen on 7/16 for a total of $49.03 after all the discounts. Today (8/2) Amazon notified me my order was cancelled. They gave me a promo code to order the echo dot 3rd gen at $22 each and gave me a $5 gift card for the inconvenience. The same order now costs close to $72. Sux.
