Get the one with the state included for $40 total. The one you’ve listed is for people that live and work in a state with no income tax.

For those who prefer FREE (and open source), check out the OPEN TAX SOLVER project. It provides automated U.S. federal and several state returns in a simple program, and has been getting better every year. You get all the most common forms, which populate your data in pdf for you. You have to mail the returns, though, or you could copy everything to one of those online sites and submit. If they don’t have your state or a particular form you need, try emailing the developers/CPAs; they’re very responsive to special requests. If the current year’s package isn’t available yet, check out last year’s to see how you like it. The program is also useful for running various future tax scenarios. By all means, donate to the project if you want to help them continue.
