Is this usable on Shabbos and yom tov like a crock pot(slow cooker)?
If it’s like the instant pot then yes ,just use a glass lid
I use my generic instapot for my chicken soup on Shabbos. I let it run the full soup cycle 1 1/2 – 2 hours before Shabbos then I put it back on the soup cycle 10-20 minutes before Shabbos and right before I leave for Shul I unplug it. The soup is still steaming hot an hour and half later.
@mike do you leave it with pressure?
It is at full pressure when I unplug and since soup is full of liquid it naturally remains under pressure for a long time and even once the pressure is released the unit is a good insulator that is why it is still hot when you get back from shul.
