@dan an interesting observation, when I ordered one, and go back and look at the product after I purchased for ~$37, it goes up to $379. On a different acct it still shows ~$37. So it’s not a dead deal for those asking, but it’s a little weird.

They took that down very quickly. It should be relatively simple to design an algorithm to search for price mistakes, make you wonder why the airlines don’t.

What has happened in the past with such an Amazon price mistake?
Gets canceled
It varies. Sometimes they just cancel and tell you to go jump in the lake. Other times they are nice and give a $5 credit.
I would be careful with contacting them too often for that. They aren’t fans of credit begging and serial returners.
I have yet so directly read a DP on someone getting hit for “credit begging” but I don’t think it’s a good idea at all. I think Amazon is still expanding fast and is in the “honeymoon phase” with its customers. Once they REALLY get into everyone’s home and are impossible to not use. I think that’s when the honeymoon will end and they’ll start booting people left and right. Just speculation though. (kinda like what the credit card companies have done)

Now that it’s dead… Whichever worker listed the price as $37.50 instead of $375.00 (missed a 0 lol) is gonna get lots of crap from their managers.
Often these situations occur because a primary competitor website such as Walmart, Macy’s or Best Buy will make the error and Amazon’s algorithm will price match some items automatically. Competitors will end up selling a handful at the mistaken price and Amazon will sell hundreds at the same time. No one gets into trouble but it costs Amazon a headache. Each situation brings Amazon’s algorithm a step closer to having fewer future mistakes.
It’s actually more likely to be a site that quotes prices in monthly installments.
My 4$ Camera insurance coverage “shipped”

Contacted amazon asked them if it can be shipped earlier, so they promised me it will be shipped out today! that means that now i have another reason to get compensation if its cancelled…

From past experience. contacting a front line rep for this is a good way to get your order cancelled when they submit your request to someone else that who’s job isn’t to just type responses back in chat. I hope you get it though!

Don’t be cheap, for $10 don’t spend your time on this, try to work like a normal man and make sure by the end of the yet you net a $250,000 minimum and screw Amazon

I realized something with amazon, they have a call center in Philippines, after hours or weekends they pick up the phone, they don’t have the authority to do much, they have restrictions on how much compensation they can give, they told me they are giving me the max they can give which is $50, last time I spoke to an American based center, they credited me fully, was over $100 ( I beleive it was the tomtom gps deal) it’s good to know!
I guess all these ppl that said they’re order is arriving Saturday never got it, because they are speaking up now.
