Update: The 20% off sitewide when using 1 AMEX or Discover point is still working if you already registered for it before today! If you didn’t use up the maximum $50 of savings you can lock in discounts on gift cards listed below!

The other 5 targeted offers are all still alive and you can still register for them.

Amazon’s Prime Day has begun and it’s the best time to take advantage of targeted promotions. That’s because credit card promotions and the Prime Day savings both take a discount off of the item’s original price, making for some crazy bargains on items like Fire TV Sticks:

Here is what you can check to see if you’re targeted for by clicking to activate the promotions:

  1. Save 20% off sitewide, up to $50 total discounts, When You Use 1 AMEX Point. (No longer open for registration, but still valid if you already registered)
  2. Save $30 off $60 When You Use 1 AMEX Point.
  3. Save $15 off $60 When You Use 1 Chase Point.
  4. Save 25% Off Select Amazon Devices When You Use 1 AMEX Point
  5. Save 25% Off Select Amazon Devices When You Use Discover Cashback
  6. Save $10 off $30 When You Use 1 Discover Point.
  7. Save 20% off sitewide, up to $50 total discounts, When You Use 1 Discover Point. (No longer open for registration, but still valid if you already registered)

If you are targeted for multiple promotions you’ll automatically get the best offer each time you checkout. The 20% sitewide promotion is valid for multiple uses, until you max out the $50 discount.

If you aren’t targeted you can try:

Be sure to link your cards onto your primary Amazon account and on an Amazon Prime Free Household account, so that both accounts can get targeted.

You can also try deleting your cards from your Amazon account and then enrolling them again.

When you checkout, select your enrolled card, click on “Apply rewards points,” and enter $0.01 to use 1 point to save 1 cent (Don’t use more than 1 point as buying on Amazon only gives a paltry value of 0.7 cents per AMEX point or 0.8 cents per Chase point!):

Gift cards sold by Amazon that work for this promotion include:

For example here is $250 of Uber gift cards with $50 off with the 20% off AMEX Promo and $0.01 from the 1 point used at checkout:

DansDeals will receive compensation if you are approved for a credit card via a link in this post.

I’m targeted for (only) #2, but I get this error message when I try to apply it: “Your points will be applied at checkout but we were not able to activate the promo code. If you have already activated this code, your discount will be applied at checkout.” Any idea what’s happening?

Willie

Is it worth waking up at 3AM to see what deals are live, or will they probably still be available at 6am?

Mo2

Bummer.
This year I wasn’t targeted on any of my accounts with any of the Amex or Amazon device offers.
I tried to delete my Amex cards and add them again without luck
The Chase offer worked on 1 account though.

Jack Ma

Missed out on the $14.00 ring stackable deal. Didnt know how to use the Amex discount. Saw the deal again and price came out to $48.00 with the Amex discount. Should I cancel and wait for that promotion to return?

anshul poudel

I am not seeing 5,402,007 ultimate points in my link. What am I doing wrong?? 🙂

Shosh

Im not targeted for any this year?!?

:)

not targeted for any 🙁

WindyCity

is there an easy way to see if an item is sold and shipped by Amazon in the listing? I have the $30 off deal, but haven’t been able to identify an item needed that qualifies (such as a hand mixer). Thank you!

Collegegirl

Is the Amex SPG card counted as a rewards card? I’m trying to add it to my prime account and it says I don’t have an American Express Rewards account.

a

used the chase offer $15 off $60 on july 2nd, and worked a 2nd time today

Yoni

Is there a promo code for the 20% similar to last year?

ggny

Was only targeted for the second AMEX award. Used it to get the eero home wifi system which $200 off now with prime day deal.

San

Getting an error while enrolling for shop with discover cashback/points -‘We’re sorry, but something went wrong while enrolling your rewards account for Shop with Points..
Didn’t get targeted, so I deleted and reenrolling again.

TG

Just so i am clear you can only use the 20% Off and $30 off $60 can only be used one time each correct?? (up to $50 for the 20%)

Nathan Rose

Why am I not targeted now if I was last year?

Gabi

Whats the expiration date on these offers

Tide pods lover

Tried unenrolling, deleting, reenrolling discover card over 20 times over two accounts. No luck getting that card targeted

chaim

i feel like because i took already took advantage of all the amex promotions on my different amazon account that I am not targeted on any of my accounts for discover promo? is my assessment accurate?

Moshe

I’m not targeted for a single one (and for some reason I feel like they almost always leave me out of every good deal!) Does anyone know of any reason or algorithm that decides who’s in who’s out??

Gaby

Was only able to use 30 off 60 with AMEX

David

Dan the screenshot you show shows more then 20% off….
It would be $10 of $50 not $40…

Esther

How do I see when I’m targeted for the promotions.
Yesterday I linked my Amex card with amazon account and the representative told me since I already placed my order , I can’t get the promotion.

Mark

Is there a way to use Amazon gift card credit to pay the balance beyond the $0.01 paid with MR points? Or does it have to charge the Amex card for the balance?

esther

the first link – “Save 20% off sitewide, up to $50 total discounts, When You Use 1 AMEX Point.”
doesn’t bring you to the right page. Can you fix it? I haven’t been targeted for ANYTHING; maybe this time i’ll be lucky.

BTW, i get the same message as Bob (BELOW) (also for the $30. off) but when i buy something using the point, it doesn’t deduct anything.

RenoRich

Bummer – I rushed to use my Discover promotion before it “expired”. (Still saved $50 on a Braun razor though.)

Texas Totty

Dan, can you please do the oilam a toiva and try to figure out for us how they decide who to target for promotions? I used to be targeted for many things but now almost none. Is it that when you spend more you get less? I guess that would make sense from their end. Like if I buy a lot of diapers anyway they have no reason to target me.
On a side note, is it really worth paying for prime on multiple accounts just to get some benefits twice?
Thanks for a great Prime Day (though I did better last year)!
