Both say 8pc in your description and one is actually 5pc.

major shabbos hassle with the sensors

Shabbos Yid

Yes! see comment below

Shabbos Yid

Has anyone figured out what to do about the contact sensors on Shabbos? I have been removing the battery from the sensors on all my doors every week, which is obviously not ideal.
If left with the battery in, there seems to be no way to totally deactivate the contact sensors from the app. You can disarm the alarm but the sensors will still register the door opening and closing and the sensor itself will briefly flash blue.

Just take off the contact instead of removing the battery

I turn off my sensors and remove the sensor contact and put it in a closed closet until after shabbat so the only contact left on the door is the magnet

Ask Your LOR

Ask your local Rabbi. I got a psak that sensors are not a problem even with a light
