some reviews say this thing is very fragile and will break after not too many bottles… I mean the fact that it supplies a replacement screw says something…

It gets the air out of the wine bottle, thereby preserving the wine.
It actually works really well, the wine really tastes better the next shabbos when you use it.

I bought this when you advertised it abut 3 weeks ago and it clearly is NOT the best wine opener. It’s cheap, and is hard to uncork. I would stay away from this, especially at $30.

Purchased this and it broke on first bottle. It is poorly constructed and as several posts and amazon reviews say.
Been using this wine opener for a year now-easily takes the cake as the best wine opener on the market.
