The Amex deal isn’t applying (I’m targeted for 10%) Is it because it’s only $99.98 and not $100? In the sample in the post it’s also $99.98 and it seems to have worked for you.
I added something to make it more than $100 and it worked.

How do you deactivate these for shabbos without having to turn it off manually every week?
Depending on how comfortable you are with wiring, since this is wired, you can actually connect the transformer to a smart switch and program it to turn off for Shabbos. That’s my plan.
