I got it and 30 seconds later the price was fixed. I plan to call them, explain that I’m an Orthodox Jew and cancel. Since I was pretty sure it was a mistake when I bought it, it’s not right for me to keep it. At least this way I can make a Kiddush HaShem. While I was buying it, my chavrusa (a posek from Israel) called and got my voicemail. I discussed it with him and I believe the right thing to do is to cancel.
Tell your posek that the representative in India you will be speaking will think all Orthodox Jews are crazy and it will be a chilul hashem.
Don’t forget to explain what being a Jew means, the difference between “regular” Jews and Orthodox ones and the idea of Kiddush Hashem.
Now for practical purposes, please please please make sure to get (and post) a recording of the full phone conversation, so others here can learn from you the right words and concepts you use to teach these (possibly) Oivdei Avodah Zarah all about Hashem and his marvelous Yidden.

On the contrary, it was a valid halachic shaila, and though I’m not making a habit of capitalizing on Ta’us Akum (like the famous B’air Haitiv) I felt it should be discussed. I’m glad I have the opportunity here to put it out there that as Klal Yisrael we actually think about dealing honestly and that IS Torah. Yaakov is the Av who corresponds to Torah and he is the paradigm for honesty in business.
