Mark

Are the Picopaks kosher?

Dan

Unflavored beer is kosher with no hechsher required.

Moe

Have the same question. Also, the newer model is about $500, not so sure how amazing this deal is.

Dan
Moe

Nope. from what I read, it seems this one is the same but just more updated:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075CF1D72/?tag=cl03f-20&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
The Pro version is just the same with extra bundled equipment, which doesn’t come with either (old or new) base model.

Dan

And from what I’ve read the C model is the one that is a major step down and that this is the older version of the pro.

Moe

Ohhh ok if you say so. Now that Im back on here, still want to make sure the hops they send are all kosher friendly. I do drink all unflavored beer, but simply not aware of brewing my own!

Dan

As long as it’s unflavored there shouldn’t be any issues.

Moe

Rabbi Dan 😉

My question is too if they add in any additives to preserve, or if they do indeed add flavorings. If you do find out first hand, please let us know.

Phil

Thank you! Bought.

Plain Hops and Plain Barley are all fine without Hashgacha
Yeast I think is stickier (of course breweries use yeast from their last batch and that’s obviously ok) but white labs and wyeast are certified I believe (don’t know what Pico gives you) Many ckarifiers and additives are not ok I think (No Idea if these come in the acks. You don’t need them I just don’t know how these packs come)

Avrohom

Everyone please be aware amazon considers this item NON RETURNABLE

Dan

That’s what credit cards with return protection are for 🙂

Csg

When I just called Amazon about returning an item that was “non returnable” they told me although it’s non returnable it is refundable, so they told me to keep it and gave back my money

avrohom

if you do that too often they will close your account

avrohom

I read that chase is removing their return protection from many of their cards

90 Day return policy to your local Home Depot. Not sure why anyone would willingly choose Amazon for this deal. Brew your first batch free and if you don’t like it…drive 5 min and return

Ryan

Home Depot seems to be out of stock
