$50 gift card bills as separate order for $50. Anyone know what would happen if I cancel that order?

They charge $50 for the gift card by charging less for the phone. Total price is the same.
I just double checked and You are correct. The reason for the confusion is they subtract $50 and than charged $50 tax so it looks like the full cost. Ha.
Came out to $670 after NJ tax and $7.50 shipping fee which oddly wouldn’t credit even after selecting free shipping delivery date. CS couldn’t credit it either, but gave me $7.50 courtesy credit.
This is a heck of a deal

This gets 20% cashback with chase or synchrony prime cards
Cancelled my first order, because was able to get 20% back (on the first $530) on a sibling’s prime card (btw, have to use dif acct even if you cancel lighting deal order). Total cashback from the card will come out to about $110.
So after the cashback and the $50 GC, effective total is about $500.
After $662 tax deduction (business expense on the full price of course ) you save somewhere between $200-$300 in tax, depending on your bracket.
So now we’re at $200-$300 total for the phone and Buds.
Now if I can sell my old s8 for that price (without telling the IRS), it’s free. (That’s the beauty of selling over trading in.)

I couldn’t find the 20% for using Prime card but then it clearly showed up on the payment page. That certainly sweetens the deal!
