Keep in mind the fact that the company still bears the name “Hugo Boss”, the man who not only joined the Nazi Party but profited from making SS and Hitler Youth uniforms, isn’t just a historical footnote. It suggests a branding choice that hasn’t fully reckoned with the moral weight of that legacy. For Jewish people—or anyone sensitive to the Holocaust and its historical echoes—that can feel like a glaring and unresolved issue.
