We have these attached to all my kids briefcases (you can get a case separately) and can track where they are. Especially the older ones that bike home or make stops at friends etc.

If the other phone phone is logged in with the same apple id, it should work.
Like using iPhone and iPad logged in with the same apple id, works that both can track airtags.

I tried Tile for a few weeks before exchanging it for the airtags. Airtags are far superior (with the exception of not offering a wallet version).
Far superior, if you have an iPhone.
Otherwise, Tile it is.
Or if you have an Ipad or iPod touch.
What’s a different between tile and airtag?
You should google that for more information. Quick summary is Airtag has an app on IOS for iphones/ipads. The tile or airtag location tracking is made possible using the corresponding company’s app with bluetooth scanning. For apple the Bluetooth/app scanning is on by default making nearly all iphones/ipads little tracking spies for the airtags. Whereas only users with the tile app installed and enabled will become tracking spies for tile.
So it comes down to how many ipads/iphones there are versus how many tile app users.
Tile has sold at least 35,000,000 devices so we would assume there are less than 35million devices tracking for tile.
Apple has a little over a billion active iPhone and ipads in the world.

Just wondering about using these to track luggage that’s stolen. To address AirTags being used by stalkers, if an AirTag connects to an iPhone it is not related to and moves along with it for a period of time, it sends an alert to that iPhone that someone is tracking their movement. Would that not also alert the luggage theif?
I have one in my tefilin, which becomes the tracker for my carry-on luggage when traveling. Last time I flew, the airline claimed there was no more overhead space, so I had to remove my tefilin, and check my carry-on. They ended up leaving it behind.
I know someone who’s tefillin were stolen from their car. Had an airtag, and found them in the alley down the block.
@Dan – I have some serious beef with TILE. One time my keys were lost and it showed on the app that it was in my neighbors front yard. Didn’t know how it got there, but I went looking like a fool combing their lawn (getting some REALLY strange looks) only to find the keys in my house later that week.
I would say that if the tracking is not precise it is pretty much useless
Yeah it’s a must have if you want to know that your luggage is SOMEWHERE at Kennedy Airport! Waste of money unless you need to stalk to your X girlfriend.
What are you talking about? This can track it anywhere it’ll be in range of an Apple device which basically covers any airport in the world.
