See Shach YD 147. On the basis of the Shach it would be allowed to purchase and own this because nobody worships them anymore and you have it on display, not hidden away in a secret room. The Shach says that while it is not assur, it is “מכוער”. But kids are always coming home with drawings of the sun and the moon, and you can put them on your refrigerator, even though it’s assur for the child to make it.

The Gemara says that making a physical representation of human beings, or celestial bodies such as the sun and the moon, is prohibited. Owning them or having them in your house is also prohibited in a time when they are worshiped. Nobody worships them now, so according to many, the prohibition of owning them no longer pertains. However, there are those that do prohibit it even in our time, and many others say that it is inappropriate even if not prohibited.
