It’s important to clarify ‘KD’ is not a hashgacha at all, rather it’s the company indicating that product is kosher. I’m this case there happens to be reputable certification on the product but the company opted not to use the symbol for whatever reason.
Anyone can put a ”K” or “KD” on a product regardless of it has a reputable certification.
