If you spend $7,500 on the AMEX Bonvoy consumer card, the AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant consumer card, or the AMEX Bonvoy business card between 6/15-8/15 you’ll earn 7,500 bonus points.

Registration isn’t required.

As those cards earn at least 2 points per dollar, you’ll effectively at least 3 points per dollar if you meet the threshold exactly. That bring it back to parity when the Starwood AMEX earned an effective 3 points per dollar.

Unfortunately Marriott points have been substantially devalued since the SPG glory days, though the 25% airline transfer bonus remains in effect which gives a hard floor to the value of the points. At least until that’s devalued as well.

Will this be enough to get you to dust off your Marriott cards?

Is this an offer we have to enroll?

I recently started at a Westin where the nightly rate was $335+ per night and I paid 23k points. There was nothing going on there or in the area at the time. So there’s still value to be had with Marriott properties here and there.

No need to register?

chase business card? Not eligible?

With dynamic pricing, is there a specific redemption value they’ll give each point, (like with United I usually see about 1.25 worth for each point) So if a hotel is $120, if the redemption values is .6, then you’ll need 20K points?
