Staples is waiving the $6.95 purchase fee on $200 Visa gift cards through 5/12.
Use your Chase Ink Business Cash, Ink Plus or Ink Bold card and get 5 points per dollar spent. Click Here to get more details on this card and compare to other business travel cards!
Or you can use an AMEX SimplyCash card to earn 5% cash back.
Some stores may limit you to 1 transaction, but some stores won’t have any limits at all, which would allow you to scale the savings quite nicely.
My local store had a limit of 10 cards per visit for a similar deal 2 weeks ago. You can purchase as may cards as your store will allow in one transaction and the fee will be waived.
If you buy 10 of the $200 Visa gift cards you’ll earn 10,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points by charging it to an Ink Cash card. If you use your points at an average value of 2 cents each, then that’s like getting $200 back!
You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at Walmart or at various grocery stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.
Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value.
Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.
Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

DW just tried at the flagship Staples and was limited to one.
But of course she found another store and bought 10 there. #shalombayit
Is it only in store or also online?
You need to read the post.
First 10 cards purchased this morning! Much easier to get these than the mastercards the other week. And less chances of fraud.
Does this work at staples in canada?
Ins this only in-store?
Per ad in-store only.
Any post with more detailed instructions on how to buy money orders with them at Walmart?
Can I buy one money order and pay with all the gift cards I got? Can I also buy the money orders with a cc or only with gift cards?

You can use 4 gift cards to pay for one money order.
You can’t use a credit card.
I had a problem with the Mastercards when I tried to buy a money order by the Wal-Mart counter. Is the visa gift card different?
Much easier with Visa.
At my staples store in queens ny you can only buy gift cards with cash… does anyone else have the same issue elsewhere?
Nope, go to another store.

THAnks Dan the man
Two staples by me were already sold out by 12pm
Picked up 20 cards today, thanks.
Any guesses as to how much is too much of these on a chase ink cash card?
My staples are limiting me to 1per day, so I have to drive around a Bitcoin. But I just learned office max/Depot are offering instant rebates on VGC this week as well. Even better deal thanks Staples. So I’m enticed to go waaay overboard on a card I don’t spend much of anything else on.
Any input on what Chase would say is too much, and possibly flag or close my Ink account? I don’t want to upset the bank, and lose my card. Thoughts?
Not in Baltimore
I bought 3 of these $200 visa giftcards with no fee at the Pikesville staples this morning. Not sure why it didnt work for you…
Yesterday bought some and today im revisiting the stores. First one told me only 1/customer then decided to call 3 other stores. Same thing 🙁 anyone else getting this issue?
Yes, I went today and they said corporate called the stores and said there is now a limit of one per customer.
Hi everybody so I bought like 20 cards how do I exchange That Into Cash
There saying u can’t cash them in
Of course you can’t “cash them in” — read the post! Here (Texas) I’m able to buy 10 per day/per store. They sold out the first day but were replenished by yesterday (Wed). I went to both of our stores yesterday and today and bought 10 at each. I’m going to do the same tomorrow and Saturday. Because I just got my Ink card, I have a year interest free, so I have some time to pay it off! I used some to “pre-buy” Prime for 15 years, and will use most for everyday spending (enjoying the 5 points!!) and might try the money order route for some of them. THANKS Dan!!
How much does Walmart charge for money orders ?
